I stumbled upon this nonprofit, the Grameen Foundation, which has a Squidoo page: http://www.squidoo.com/browse/show/microfinance. I've written to the lensmaster to ask what kind of benefits they have realized from it and will report back if they respond. Interestingly, I had to hunt hard to find the link to their Web site from the page. It wasn't even hyperlinked.

    Did you get a response?

No, Beth, I didn't get a response. I do wish Squidoo was more "transparent." A nonprofit I admire, Room to Read, recently announced that it had received funding from Squidoo, which is great. I didn't investigate it thoroughly, but I don't remember the amount being published.
